Managing Broker
Beverly Malooley
After owning, operating, and selling a local fresh produce and seasonal market, The Ripe Tamata, located in Peru, my love for small business was further enhanced as the director of the Illinois Small Business Development Center working with entrepreneurs in achieving their dreams.
In addition, I became a licensed REALTOR and discovered I had a passion for commercial real estate redevelopment. After 8-years of working for nationally branded real estate companies, the obvious decision with my sister/broker to develop a boutique real estate firm came in 2008.
Since opening our company,
I have embraced the revitalization and redevelopment of the many downtowns in the region, where storefronts emptied out due to the big box movement into rural communities. As the area is enriched by next generation entrepreneurs, new boutiques, services, and eateries, I have discovered this new energy is enhancing the quality of life and encouraging new economic growth.
While the rural downtowns
have embraced the movement for revitalization, the need for boutique quality, local property real estate services was apparent. Malooley Dahm Realty’s team approach toward real estate is new and untraditional to the area. Brokers approach retail and service clients by first understanding their goals and then set out to find the opportunity for buying or leasing.
Our brokers have the necessary resources
for understanding this market. We are able to provide building owners with leasing opportunities as well as the purchasing of additional properties to add to their real estate investment portfolio. In addition we provide planned and well thought out marketing strategies for the sale of commercial properties.
I have an affection for historic properties
and love being part of the revitalization movement. But I guess what I really enjoy is the entrepreneurial spirit of next generation business owners. I think they are essential to local economic sustainability and necessary at creating a sense of place; a place people and business want to relocate too.
Welcome to the Illinois Valley / Greater Starved Rock area and Malooley Dahm Realty.

Kathryn Erjavsek
Upon first moving to Illinois, Kathryn became fascinated by the area’s rich history and movement to revitalize local downtowns. She started looking for a way to contribute and this lead her to real estate.
Kathryn and her husband Nathan
share a vision for the economic redevelopment of the area and are excited to see businesses returning to local downtowns. In late 2017, Kathryn and Nathan purchased the historic Slovenski Narodni Dom building (Slovenian Community Center) at the corner of 1st Street and Crosat in downtown LaSalle.
Nathan had been drawn to the building not originally knowing it coincided with his Slovenian heritage. They hope to preserve some of its historical value by developing it into a usable space to bring commerce back to downtown LaSalle.
KATHRYN LOVES ANIMALS,
especially dogs and horses. She has owned and shown horses for over 30 years. Her greatest joy is being able to share her passion for horses and love of animals with her daughter.
Kathryn and her husband reside in rural Putnam County with their daughter.
